Our honey bee pollen is collected up and down the Rio Grand river valley and on the west face of the Rocky Mountains. Pollen is collected with a special bottom box called a pollen trap which knocks a portion of the pollen from the bees legs as they enter the hive. Our pollen contains a very broad spectrum of flower and tree pollens in it.
Bee Pollen Nutrition
Pollen is a perfect food. It contains all of the nutrients necessary to support life. It is over 30% protein and contains all eight of the essential amino acids. It is a rich source of all B vitamins including B12. The wide variety of pollen we collect has a broad spectrum of minerals all in raw, easily assimilated form. ours of cleaning so it is as soft and fresh as the day we collected it. It has a complex flavor from sweet through bitter to nutty all in the same bite. Many people take small doses of pollen to inoculate themselves against local allergens. Although there is no scientific proof that it works, I have thousands of testimonials. We use pollen as a food substitute and vitamin. Used in this way, up to two tablespoons a day ,it is an energy booster, appetite suppressant and a fantastic source of raw protein which is easier for our bodies to use. Pollen can be dangerous for some people with extreme pollen or plant allergies. It is best to start with only two or three grains of bee pollen under your tongue each day, building up at your body's own pace to one teaspoon twice a day.
NOTE! I don't recommend taking it after 3:00pm IT DOES PROVIDE A SUSTAINED ENERGY BOOST WHEN YOU ARE USING A COUPLE TEASPOONS A DAY.
